no404 Is Now in ChatGPT: The Official no404 MCP App Is Live
The official no404 MCP app is now available in ChatGPT. Check your 404 traffic, separate humans from bots and manage redirects just by asking.
The official no404 MCP app is now live in ChatGPT. You can check the 404 traffic on your site, see where lost visitors come from and manage your redirects by asking ChatGPT, without opening the dashboard.
You'll find it in ChatGPT's Plugins section as no404: Lost Traffic Recovery: open no404 in ChatGPT.
What is MCP and why does it matter?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect securely to external services. The no404 MCP app connects ChatGPT directly to your no404 account, so its answers are based on your site's real 404 data instead of general guesses.
What you can do from ChatGPT
List your sites and their 404 counts. See how many 404 requests each site in your account received with a single question.
Find the missing URLs that get the most traffic. See whether that traffic comes from people, search engine crawlers, AI assistants or other bots.
Compare periods. Compare the last 7, 30 or 90 days with the period before.
Check a single URL. See what a visitor gets today, any manual redirect, and the closest page in your sitemap.
Read scan results. Go through the results of your latest broken link scan and backlink check in the chat.
Manage redirects. Create, change or delete redirects on your own site.
Example questions
Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT things like:
"Which missing URLs on my site got the most hits this week?"
"Did my 404 errors go up compared to last week?"
"Is there a good redirect for this URL on my site?"
"How much 404 traffic came from AI assistants in the last 30 days?"
Nothing changes without your approval
When you create, change or delete a redirect, ChatGPT asks you to confirm each change. Bulk changes are shown as a preview before anything is applied, so a redirect can't be removed by accident and dozens of URLs can't change without you knowing.
The app only sees sites owned by the connected account. You can disconnect it at any time under Settings in the no404 dashboard.
Limits to keep in mind
You need a no404 account with at least one site added through Google Search Console. Sites can't be added from ChatGPT.
Redirect targets must be on the same site. Redirects to other domains are made in the no404 dashboard.
Broken link scans and backlink checks are started in the dashboard; the app reads their results.
How to connect
Open Plugins in ChatGPT and search for no404, or go straight to the app page.
Connect the app and sign in with your no404 account to grant access.
Ask your first question about your site in the chat.
Don't have a no404 account yet? Sign up at no404.tr and add your site through Google Search Console in a few minutes. Then start tracking your lost traffic by asking ChatGPT.
